Ammonia:
Though ammonia is not registered as a disinfectant, it is a powerful cleaner that removes the layers of film left behind by alcoholic gel, soaps and any other cleaning products, making your jewels sparkling like they have been bought from the shop. Soak your rings for about 10 minutes in a solution with one part containing ammonia and two parts warm water. After removing them from the solution, wipe them with a clean and soft cloth and leave them undisturbed to dry. This DIY method is very useful seeking the condition currently instead of going to a jewellery cleaner.
